Biography

Dr. Uzair Jooma is a paediatric surgeon with extensive training and experience in enhancing surgical care for children. He began his surgical journey in Kimberley and trained as a general surgeon in Pietermaritzburg, before specialising in paediatric surgery at Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town.

He further refined his expertise in the UK at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, focusing on the Hepatobiliary and Transplant Unit and paediatric urology. Now back in KwaZulu-Natal, he is dedicated to providing exceptional care to children in his home community.
